Vistara postpones frequency increases in Frankfurt and Paris

The Indian airline Vistara is postponing the frequency increases on the routes from Delhi to Frankfurt am Main and Paris, originally announced for October 30, 2022, by around a week. The carrier plans to double the number of weekly rotations between Delhi and Frankfurt from three to six in the 2022/23 winter flight schedule. The plan was actually to take this step with effect from October 30, 2022. For reasons not explained in detail, it has been decided that the frequency increase will not take place until November 7, 2022. The airline plans to fly daily, except on Wednesday, with Boeing 787-9s. The route to Paris-Charles de Gaulle is also affected by a delay. This should be increased from the current two weekly rotations to five rotations as of October 30, 2022. Here, too, Vistara is postponing the flight to November 7, 2022 for unspecified reasons. Spain: Three days of railway strikes are imminent

The Spanish union UGT and the works council are calling on employees of the state railway company Renfe to strike on October 28, 2022, and on November 7 and 11, 2022. If there is no further response, the work stoppages will continue. The first strike will take place on October 28, 2022, from midnight to 23:00 p.m. On November 7, 2022, work will be stopped between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and from 18:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m. The same applies to November 11, 2022. The union regrets that there will be massive restrictions for passengers during the industrial action. At the same time, it emphasizes that management and the government "must respond to the obvious shortage of staff in all areas and groups." They are demanding better working conditions and more permanent contracts. At Renfe, many employees are employed on fixed-term contracts. They are also demanding higher pay for their employees. Local public transport can currently be used free of charge. The Spanish government introduced this as a measure to combat inflation. For the time being, this is limited until the end of 2022. No decision has yet been made on a possible extension. At the same time, additional employees have been hired on a fixed-term basis for this period. The union is demanding that these be transferred to permanent employment contracts.

"As part of our strategic partnership with SBB, we are gradually expanding our network connections, now also with the integration of attractive tourist destinations. This means our passengers from Europe and all over the world can travel quickly and easily to some of the most beautiful places in Switzerland. It is also possible to use Zagreb as a destination airport. Various long-distance bus providers, including Flixbus, offer trips to Banja Luka (via Laktasi) several times a day. It should be noted, however, that these do not depart from the Croatian capital airport, but from the international bus station. However, there is a shuttle bus for a fee, which operates under the branding of Croatia Airlines, among others.
