Belgrade Airport reports record numbers

Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport can continue its successful streak: Both June and the first half of the year can set new records with considerable figures in terms of passenger traffic. Nikola Tesla Airport has already impressed with figures from previous months. But the airport's series of successes in terms of passenger numbers continues: June, but also the first half of the year in general, can underline the success of the Serbian airport with record figures. The airport was able to welcome 747.837 passengers in June, which corresponds to an increase of almost 40 percent compared to the previous year. Even in relation to 2019 before the corona pandemic, this figure would correspond to an increase of 23,8 percent. However, the first half of the year can further strengthen the consistency of the success in terms of passenger traffic: the airport was able to handle 2023 passengers in the first half of 3.287.130, which corresponds to an improvement of over 50 percent compared to the previous year 2022. This figure would also represent an improvement compared to the pre-Corona year of 2019, exceeding the corresponding figure for 2019 by 25,8 percent, as the portal Ex-Yu Aviation News confirms.

Air France starts flights to Abu Dhabi

The national airline Air France is pursuing the plan to add more long-haul destinations and thus extensively redesign its own flight schedule. This is particularly evident in the flight recording of the connection between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Abu Dhabi. France's national carrier Air France plans to offer a daily flight service to Abu Dhabi from October 29, 2023. Berlin: “Siko with appointment” was used by one million passengers

June 2023: Zurich with 2.596.903 passengers

Zurich-Kloten Airport was used by 2023 passengers in June 2.596.903. This was 20 percent higher than the previous year, but ten percent lower than the pre-crisis volume. This represents around 92 percent of the volume recorded in June 2019. On average, there were 136 passengers on board the aircraft. This represents an increase of three percent. Capacity utilization improved by one percentage point to 82 percent. A total of 29,575 tonnes of freight were handled at Zurich Airport in June. This corresponds to a decrease of 15% compared to the same month last year. Compared to June 2019, 19% less freight was handled.

SunExpress with discounted Rail&Fly tickets

The Turkish airline SunExpress is currently selling discounted Rail&Fly tickets for Deutsche Bahn AG. Until September 3, 2023, ten euros will be discounted in first class and five euros in second class. To get the tickets for a worry-free trip, customers book their flight as usual via the SunExpress website and then immediately purchase the required vouchers for the train journeys. One voucher is issued per person and journey, which must be redeemed for a ticket from Deutsche Bahn before the journey. MDF AG reorganizes sales team

Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG (MFAG) has reorganized and repositioned its sales department. Kira Fabiunke and Steffen Böttger took over the “Sales Airlines” and “Sales Cargo” departments on July 15st. Winter 2023/24: Air France is increasing its North American offering

In the 2023/24 winter flight schedule, Air France will offer three weekly rotations between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Raleigh-Durham. Half-year figures: Tap Air Portugal significantly exceeds pre-crisis volumes

The airline Tap Air Portugal had around 2023 million passengers on board in the first half of 7,58. The routes to North America, Brazil and Africa were particularly in demand. According to its own information, the Portuguese airline was also able to exceed the transport performance it had in the first half of 2019. It had 14,7 percent more passengers on board. On intra-European routes, Tap transported a total of 2023 million passengers in the first half of 5,41, 29,8 percent more than in the same period last year, but still 10 percent less than in the period before the pandemic. The airline can also report positive figures with regard to the average load factor of its aircraft: at 80,2 percent, it is 5,5 percentage points higher than in 2022 and already half a percentage point higher than in the first half of 2019. In terms of ASK (Available Seat Kilometers), Tap recorded a total of 25,02 billion in the first half of the year, 21,4 percent more than in the same period last year and 4,3 percent more than in the first half of 2019. Air Baltic with high demand from Vienna
