Skyalps boss Gostner wants to “take over” AUA domestic routes

The South Tyrolean airline Skyalps intends to operate numerous scheduled routes with de Havilland Dash 8-400s on behalf of Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines. This was explained by owner Josef Gostner in an interview with a South Tyrolean daily newspaper. However, neither Austrian Airlines nor its parent company Lufthansa want to confirm the published statements. According to Josef Gostner, Linz Airport would play a larger role in Skyalps' route network in the future. The Upper Austrian airport in Linz has already been served for several weeks. Türkiye: Ajet is ready for its first flight

The Turkish Airlines subsidiary Ajet has been granted an AOC and operating license by the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority. This means that the conditions are in place for the start of flight operations, which is scheduled to take place in March 2024. Anadolujet is currently a brand of Turkish Airlines. In the future, these activities will be continued under the Ajet brand in the form of an independent subsidiary. To this end, numerous aircraft that are currently registered on the parent company's AOC will switch to that of the new subsidiary. Turkish Airlines announced some time ago that the cargo and low-cost flight divisions would be spun off into new subsidiary airlines. In November 2023, it was announced that Anadolujet would operate as Ajet in the future. It has already been announced that the low-cost airline, which will operate independently in the future, will expand strongly towards Europe. The necessary certificates for this were issued by the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority on January 2, 2024. "The application process of our subsidiary AJet to obtain an air operator certificate under the Commercial Air Transport Companies Regulation has been completed and AJet was granted an air operator certificate by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation on January 2.01.2024, 103," said the Turkish Airlines subsidiary in a media statement. Initially, Ajet will maintain two bases. These are located in Ankara-Esenboğa and Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen. The fleet will initially consist of 2024 aircraft. In 93, the company plans to fly to 33 destinations in XNUMX countries. The jets will be re-registered to the new AOC step by step.
