Easter 2024: Qatar Airways temporarily increases Doha-Vienna flights

Around the Easter holidays in 2024, Gulf carrier Qatar Airways will be flying more frequently from Doha to the Austrian capital Vienna. Up to three daily rotations will then be offered temporarily. In the period from March 10 to April 7, 2024, Qatar Airways will be offering an additional pair of flights on the Doha-Vienna-Doha route, which it has already served for around 20 years. Capital increase: Public sector invests 13,7 million euros in Klagenfurt Airport

Southwest Airlines is no longer planning to fly B737-Max-7s this year

The US low-cost airline Southwest Airlines no longer expects to be able to put the Boeing 737 Max 7 aircraft it has ordered into active scheduled service this year. They have already been removed from the latest fleet planning. Southwest Airlines is the world's largest customer of this model, which has not yet been certified by the FAA. Just a few weeks ago, Boeing was confident that it would quickly get both the Max 7 and the Max 10 approved. But the airline was skeptical even then and did not expect possible certification before April 2024. However, the most recent incident, which affected a Max 2024 operated by Alaska Airlines in early January 9, is likely to have caused Southwest Airlines to rethink its position. Since the FAA is literally turning the production of the B737 Max series upside down, i.e. closely examining it, it is certain that this will lead to further delays in the approval of the Max 7. The low-cost airline now assumes that it will not be possible to put this model into scheduled service in 2024. At the same time, seven of this variant have been canceled, i.e. converted into the larger Max-8. Boeing has promised Southwest Airlines that a total of 2024 aircraft from the Max series can be delivered in 85. These are to consist of 27 Max-7s and 58 Max-8s. However, Southwest expects that there will be a maximum of 79 aircraft. One of the reasons for this assessment is that the manufacturer continues to have significant problems in the supply chain. Stockholm: Eurowings Europe starts Naples flights
