In order to guarantee medical care, we launched the model two years ago in cooperation with the Medical University of Vienna. This means that up to ten students can begin studying medicine each academic year. With this measure, we can secure important jobs for doctors in the Federal Army in the long term and it is showing initial success! I am very pleased that we have a lot of interest in this and wish all applicants all the best and much success in this year's entrance exam." To take part in the entrance exam for the medical degree, basic military training is required, followed by a two-month preparatory course. 40 people can take part in the preparatory course. Berlin Airport puts AI handling into operation

Berlin Brandenburg Airport has initially equipped 16 terminal-near handling positions with cameras that will be connected to Assaia's AI system. A further 2024 positions are to be added over the course of summer 33. As one of the first airports in the world and the first in Germany, Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH has been operating an intelligent, innovative system since Wednesday to optimize handling processes on the apron at BER. The Digital Turnaround system can use live cameras and self-learning, AI-based software to analyze aircraft handling in real time. In the event of delays or deviations, the system makes recommendations to operational decision-makers in the Airport Control Center (ACC). Process partners can thus react directly, change course and handle aircraft more efficiently in order to further increase punctuality and efficiency at BER. This enables the work steps on the aircraft to be optimized, leading to greater stability in the flight plan and increased punctuality. "We are delighted that we are the first airport in Germany to put this innovative AI-based software into operation today. Digitization is not an end in itself, but is intended to create added value. With the digital turnaround, we as an airport are contributing to more efficient use of the infrastructure, more stable handling on the part of the process partners and thus also improving the travel experience of passengers. The software solution also uses AI to support our employees in keeping an overview of the parallel, diverse, time-critical processes and making the right decisions," says BER boss Aletta von Massenbach.
