On June 2, 2024, United Airlines celebrated the 25th anniversary of its nonstop connection between Zurich Airport and New York/Newark. Over the past two and a half decades, United has operated more than 16.300 flights and transported over 2,4 million passengers to the "Big Apple" and beyond. But that's not all: June 4, 2024 also marks an anniversary for United and Zurich Airport. This day will mark the 20th anniversary of nonstop flights between Zurich and the US capital Washington, DC. Since 2004, the airline has transported more than two million passengers on over 17.500 flights from ZRH to Washington Dulles International Airport. Today, both routes - Zurich-New York/Newark and Zurich-Washington Dulles - are served daily, which not only gives travelers from Switzerland fast and uncomplicated flights to these metropolises, but also gives them access to the large United network within the USA with more than 200 destinations. "We are delighted to be able to celebrate the anniversaries of these important milestones and thereby also acknowledge 25 years of successful flying in Switzerland without interruption," said Reto Schneider, Country Sales Manager Switzerland and Germany at United Airlines. Florian Raff, Head Aviation Development at Flughafen Zürich AG, emphasised: "We value the good partnership with United Airlines and are proud to celebrate 25 years of flight operations to and from Zurich together." The partnership between United Airlines and Zurich Airport has helped travellers enjoy a wide range of destinations worldwide, with United maintaining a strong North American schedule with daily connections to New York/Newark, Washington, DC, Chicago
