Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have launched a collaboration to support various sustainability initiatives. This MoU was recently signed by both parties to promote the development and use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in the Asia-Pacific region. Alltours offers special conditions for former FTI customers

The tour operator Alltours is offering attractive offers to former FTI customers who booked their summer vacation there and are now waiting for confirmation or cancellation of their trip. Air traffic report: European passenger volumes continue to rise

The European airport association ACI EUROPE has published its air traffic report for April 2024. According to the report, passenger traffic in the European airport network increased by +8,5% in April compared to the same month last year. This means that volumes are now just under -0,2% below pre-pandemic levels (2019), indicating an almost complete recovery. The non-EU+ market performed particularly well, performing above average with an increase in passenger traffic of +13,4% year-on-year. Airports in Kazakhstan, Albania and Uzbekistan in particular recorded strong increases. In the EU+ market, passenger traffic increased by +7,7% year-on-year, with performance varying considerably between national markets. The major airports recorded an increase in passenger traffic of +8,6% year-on-year in April. Among the mega and major airports, London-Heathrow, Istanbul and Paris-CDG were at the top. Medium-sized airports achieved the best performance with +9,4% compared to pre-pandemic levels. Cargo traffic increased by +12,4% across the European airport network compared to the same period last year, with airports in the EU+ and the rest of Europe reporting similar increases. Overall, cargo traffic was +2,5% above pre-pandemic levels. Aircraft movements increased by +7,4% across the European airport network in April. These data illustrate a positive development in the aviation sector, pointing to a growing recovery following the impact of the pandemic.
