Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), plans to further expand its European route network in summer 2025. In a press release dated 6 September 2024, the airline announced that it will launch direct services between Abu Dhabi and two new destinations in Europe, Warsaw (Poland) and Prague (Czech Republic). This decision underlines the growing importance of Europe to the airline's international expansion strategy. From 2 June 2025, Etihad will operate four direct flights weekly from Abu Dhabi (AUH) to Warsaw (WAW) and Prague (PRG). These routes will be served by state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliners, known for their fuel efficiency and comfort for long-haul flights. Ural Airlines dismantles Airbus A320 after emergency landing on Russian wheat field

One year after a spectacular emergency landing in a Russian wheat field, the Ural Airlines Airbus A320 involved is being gradually dismantled. The aircraft, registration RA-73805, was forced to make an emergency landing in an open field on September 12, 2024, after the pilots feared they might run out of fuel en route to Novosibirsk Airport (OVB). This incident caused a stir around the world and sparked discussions about the circumstances of the accident and how to deal with the wreckage. The decision to dismantle the Airbus on site marks the end of a long debate about the future of the aircraft. On the day in question, there were 167 people on board the Airbus A320, including 23 children and six crew members. Due to technical problems, the pilots had decided not to fly to the originally planned destination airport, Omsk Tsentralny (OMS), and instead diverted to Novosibirsk. The decision was made because technical personnel were available at Novosibirsk airport to carry out the necessary repairs to the aircraft's hydraulic system. However, a critical situation arose on the way there: there was not enough fuel to reach the destination. The pilots had to make an emergency landing in a wheat field. Despite the extreme circumstances, the landing took place without major incidents. All passengers were unharmed and the aircraft came to a safe stop. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations immediately reported that the evacuation of the passengers was quick and problem-free. The crew had brought the aircraft safely to the ground in a controlled maneuver, which prevented the incident from becoming a potential disaster. After the incident: The future of the aircraft After the

Corendon Airlines wants to expand more slowly

With over two million passengers in the first eight months of 2024 and an expanded winter schedule offering 600.000 seats to holiday destinations, Corendon Airlines is consolidating its position as a holiday airline in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). The Turkish airline, which will celebrate its 2025th anniversary in 20, is relying on a growing route network and a stronger sales strategy to improve both sales and awareness. In addition to Turkey, Corendon also has airline subsidiaries with their own certificates in the Netherlands and Malta. The positive development so far this year is remarkable: Corendon Airlines recorded more than two million passengers in the period from January to August 2024, an increase of 20 percent compared to the previous year. These figures confirm the success of the airline's strategy, which focuses on both classic holiday travel and ethnic flights. Demand for flights to Turkey, Spain, Greece, Morocco and Egypt was particularly strong. In recent years, Corendon Airlines has paid particular attention to ethnic traffic. These flights serve travelers who fly to Turkey away from the well-known tourist destinations, such as airports on the Black Sea or in the east of the country. To meet the growing demand, the airline has expanded the availability of these flights - a concept that will continue in 2025. The extended flight times are intended to enable the growing number of travelers to fly to their home regions more flexibly and over a longer period of time. Stronger sales activities and focus on the DACH region The DACH region is important to Corendon Airlines in the
