“The Addams Family”: Musical with strong artistic performances

“The Addams Family”, a musical that has become famous all over the world from Broadway, is currently touring across Germany. The top-class ensemble from DS Entertainment has already performed in a wide variety of cities. There are also shows planned in Fellbach near Stuttgart and in the Hilden town hall in the near future. You shouldn’t wait, because the performance is worth seeing. In Germany, musicals are usually associated with productions by Stage Entertainment Holding. Although this is the largest provider, it does have competitors such as ATG and DS Entertainment. The latter company is owner-managed and you can tell, because Diane Lübbert is not only the owner, but also plays a leading role in “The Addams Family”. A production in which the boss herself shows that she’s really good at being a musical singer can only be a success, right? Great performance by full-blooded artists That's right, because the actors in the DS Entertainment production of "The Addams Family" all shine with outstanding artistic excellence. Dance, speech, singing, gangs and even audience involvement - as a viewer you can feel that there are not only real professionals on stage, but artists for whom their performances are more than just a job, it is pure passion and pure joy to offer the audience a top-class show. An ensemble that performs in different cities within a short period of time has to constantly adapt to changing conditions in terms of infrastructure within a short period of time. Not every "hall" is ideal for musicals. Sometimes it is the structural conditions, sometimes the

Passenger volume at German airports falls after summer peak – Germany remains at the bottom of the European rankings

In September 2024, German airports counted a total of around 21,15 million passengers, a decrease of around 535.000 passengers compared to August. After the peak during the summer holidays, the recovery in air traffic is losing momentum and is now only at 86,9 percent of the pre-crisis level of 2019. This means that Germany remains at the bottom of the recovery rate compared to other European markets. Despite an increase of 4,1 percent compared to the previous year, 13,1 percent of passengers are still missing compared to 2019. The number of domestic flights shows a slight increase of 2,3 million passengers compared to August, which is attributed to the renewed increase in business travel. Nevertheless, this segment remains well below the level of 2019. European traffic recorded 15,12 million passengers in September, around 3,9 percent fewer than in August. The intercontinental segment increased year-on-year, but also remained below 2019 levels. In the cargo sector, 393.507 tonnes of air cargo were handled in September, a minimal increase of 0,2 percent year-on-year. This trend is mainly driven by a decline in loadings and an increase in unloadings. Overall, growth remains moderate, and total volumes remain below 2019.

Fraport relies on asphalt with cashew shell bitumen

Frankfurt Airport is the first airport in the world to test the use of sustainable asphalt on the apron, using biological bitumen made from cashew shells instead of traditional, petroleum-based bitumen. In collaboration with the start-up B2Square, a 200-meter-long test track is being built to test the innovative material under real conditions. This so-called bio-bitumen has a lower CO₂ footprint because cashew shells contain biogenic carbon compounds that are bound in a special process in a climate-neutral way. The test section will be regularly checked for resilience and durability over the next two years. The aim is to make the airport more climate-friendly by reducing environmentally harmful emissions and promoting sustainable alternatives. The test track will be covered with two different types of asphalt - conventional and bio-asphalt - in parallel in order to evaluate their differences and potential advantages for other areas of the airport. If the test is successful, Fraport intends to use the material more intensively in the future in order to reduce its CO₂ emissions to zero by 2045. This measure is part of Fraport's sustainability strategy and the Airport Carbon Accreditation Program, which was co-founded in 2008.
