Wizz Air has reached a significant milestone: the company has surpassed the 1.000 flights per day mark across its entire route network. This step underlines the airline's growing importance in European air transport. The 1.000th flight took off on July 25, 2025, from Bacau, Romania, to London Luton. The airline is continuously expanding its regional connections. This achievement positions Wizz Air as one of the leading airlines in Europe and is an important step in the implementation of its "Customer First Initiative." This initiative aims to offer more affordable flights and a wider choice of departure options to 75 million passengers this year. Wizz Air currently carries over 200.000 passengers daily, demonstrating the growing demand for affordable air travel across its expanding route network. With an average of one Wizz Air flight every 90 seconds, the airline plays a vital role in connecting Europe and beyond. Wizz Air employs over 8.000 pilots and cabin crew who ensure smooth operations every day. Poland seeks partners for the construction of the central airport CPK

Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) has launched an international tender to select a General Contract Engineer (GCE). This "Delivery Partner" will manage the construction of the new major airport in Poland. The company is seeking a contractor who will act as both a Project Management Consultant (PMC) and a Contract Engineer (Construction Manager), with expertise gained from implementing greenfield airport projects abroad as well as major investments in Poland. Companies can submit their bids until October 20, 2025. The selected company will assume comprehensive management of the entire airport construction process and ensure seamless monitoring and coordination on the construction site. The tender includes support in areas such as consulting, planning, scheduling, and the integration of multiple design and construction contracts into a unified program. The primary objective of the GCE is the on-time, compliant, and budget-compliant opening of CPK Airport in 2032. Particular emphasis will be placed on the quality of the proposed solutions. An important requirement for applicants is proof of extensive experience. CPK requests bids from companies that have successfully managed the construction and commissioning of at least one new major airport (greenfield project) with an annual passenger capacity of at least 15 million passengers over the past 20 years as project managers. Furthermore, extensive experience in the implementation of large infrastructure projects in Poland is expected. Bidders must also demonstrate that they have a team with direct experience in airport construction.
