Austrian Airlines is expanding its flight schedule for the winter of 2025/2026 with a new connection from Innsbruck. Flyvbird launches connections from Mönchengladbach and Münster

Drone sighting leads to flight diversions at Frankfurt Airport

Easyjet equips fleet with navigation software

British airline EasyJet has completed the retrofitting of its entire fleet of 54 A320neo and A321neo aircraft with the FANS-C (Future Air Navigation System-C) navigation system. EasyJet now has the world's largest fleet equipped with this technology. Developed by Airbus, the system enables more precise communication between aircraft and air traffic control to optimize flight routes and increase efficiency. FANS-C is traffic management software that enables the real-time exchange of flight path data between the cockpit and air traffic controllers. Herberstein Animal World announces the birth of two rare red pandas. The cubs, a male and a female, were born on June 17, 2025. Father Kaldon has lived in Herberstein since 2013, while mother Kalina came to him last year. The pair could often be observed mating in the spring. Red pandas, also called "lesser pandas," are classified as critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). There are an estimated 10.000 of their species left in the wild worldwide, of which only 2.500 are capable of reproduction. There are currently 420 animals living in European zoos, whose population is coordinated within the framework of the EEP (European Endangered Species Programme). The pups are currently being kept in a protected area away from public view. It will be a few more weeks before the newest offspring at Tierwelt Herberstein can be seen regularly. However, visitors with some luck may observe the mother carrying her young to another nest box.
