The Maltese airline Corendon Europe added another Boeing 737-800 to its fleet at the end of last week. The machine has the registration 9H-TFJ and will in future be stationed at Cologne / Bonn Airport.
For customs reasons, the medium-haul jet had to visit Luqa Airport on September 30, 2021. At the same time, officials from the Maltese Civil Aviation Authority carried out an inspection, others ended with clearance or approval. There are currently nine machines of this type in the fleet. In the summer of 2021, wet-lease aircraft operated by the Slovakian Air Explore were also used.
For the coming summer season, the Maltese Corendon Europe plans to use nine Boeing 737-800s. At peak times you want to fall back on wet lease equipment. The cooperation with Air Explore, whose machines have been used from Heraklion, Hanover and Rhodes, among others, is described as very good. The continuation of the cooperation is considered likely.
