Nature experiences in the snowy Karwendel

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

There is currently almost absolute silence in the wintery Karwendel Mountains, only the rustling of the ice-cold, crystal-clear Weissenbach and the chirping of coal tits, goldfinches and the like.

The snow-covered landscape of the Karwendel Mountains invites you to fully enjoy the silence of nature and the Tux Alps offer a variety of winter activities for the whole family. Enjoy the special atmosphere in the Hall-Wattens holiday region while snowshoeing or tobogganing in fairytale surroundings.

Karwendel Nature Park in winter

The majestic beauty of the Karwendel Mountains offers a breathtaking backdrop for unforgettable winter excursions. Away from the hustle and bustle of the ski areas, you can breathe in the fresh mountain air in peace and admire the beautiful landscape. The weekly Nature Watch tour on snowshoes allows you to explore untouched nature in a unique way. You can hear the soft crunch of the snow under your shoes and you can spot wild animals in their natural environment through the Swarovski Optik binoculars.

Winter hiking on the mountain and in the valley

Winter hiking on the mountain is another excellent way to marvel at the peak-filled panoramic views of the Hall-Wattens region. Our well-marked winter hiking trails take you through picturesque villages, snow-covered forests or even along mountain ranges at 1.500 meters above sea level. The altitude difference can be easily conquered in advance with the gondola.
