At the Latvian airline, 700 employees are already one stitch richer. This means that more than half of the workforce has already received the vaccine.

The company recently launched an in-house vaccination campaign. And this is probably bearing fruit: Almost 700 of the total of 1.096 employees have their first vaccine behind them. “We want to regain our freedom to travel as soon as possible. That is why our team always tries to take all the necessary precautions to be able to welcome our customers on board as safely as possible ”, says Air Baltic boss Martin Gauss. Ideally, posts that require constant contact with other people should be filled by vaccinated people, Gauss continues.

Another report from Air Baltic recently caused a stir: Anyone who wants to work with the Latvian airline in the future can only do so if immunization against corona can be proven by means of vaccinations. In plain language this means: In future, no more unvaccinated people will be hired.
