With the 9H-VUE, the Ryanair subsidiary Malta Air has taken over the first Boeing 737 Max 200, which is painted in its own livery. The machine bears the serial number 65876 and was put into active liner service on July 20, 2021.

The machine is stationed in Bergamo, Italy. Ryanair has its own maintenance facility here. A Boeing 737 Max 200 is scheduled to arrive at Luqa Airport on July 27, 2021. It is expected that the Maltese carrier will have an aircraft christened by a member of the government.

The Boeing 737 Max 200 is a special low-cost variant of the Max 8. Besides the Ryanair Group, only VietJetAir has so far opted for this model. The Irish company is initially using the machines from Italy and the UK. The first unit in the Buzz livery will also be delivered shortly.
