The 2022/23 winter season for Innsbruck Airport proved to be successful. Even if this has not yet been able to build on the pre-corona level, the positive development in winter is evident.
With the passenger volume of the first quarter of 2023, the airport was able to create a solid basis for a successful 2023: in the first quarter of 2023, the airport was able to transport 480 passengers. Airport Managing Director Marco Pernetta sums it up: “We are satisfied and grateful that last year's upturn continued in the past winter season and that passenger numbers are recovering significantly. A big thank you goes to our entire workforce and our partners, who made a significant contribution to the success of the winter season given the difficult conditions.”
In addition, in view of the Easter holidays, Innsbruck Airport was able to reach the 500 passenger mark, which the airport longs for in summer. "In the summer of 000 we will again be offering an extensive charter flight program for Tyroleans from Innsbruck Airport," Pernetta hopes for a positive summer season. Greece, Italy and Spain are among the most popular summer destinations from Innsbruck airport. In addition, the destination Corsica is offered in the new program, and in future tourists will be able to travel to Corsica from the Innsbruck base.
