A violent altercation occurred between two tour groups at Nuremberg Airport on Friday evening, July 31, 2026.

The verbal altercation escalated, and a 29-year-old man punched a 43-year-old man in the face. This led to a physical fight in which several people from both groups quickly became involved.

Officers from the airport police station and border police intervened to separate the rioting groups and calm the situation in the departure area. An ambulance crew provided on-site medical care to those involved; hospitalization was not required after initial treatment. Police officers secured video footage from the terminal's security cameras, initiated investigations for assault, and recorded the personal details of all passengers involved.
As a direct consequence of the physical altercation, the responsible authorities and the airline involved removed a total of eleven people from their scheduled flight.
