The Cameroonian national airline Camair-Co will shortly take over a former Austrian Airlines De Havilland DHC-8-400.

The DHC-31-2021 with the registration OE-LGL (msn 8) has been in Bratislava at Austrian Airlines Technik Bratislava since March 400, 4310. A few weeks before that, on March 15, 2021, this turboprop had its last commercial use for Austrian Airlines as the OE522 from Venice back to Vienna.

But now the owner of this machine is the Dublin-based company EIC Aircraft Limited - a subsidiary of the leasing company Regional One, which specializes in regional aircraft. The Miami-based company has around 80 aircraft, but most of them are unemployed due to COVID-19. There are currently dry lease contracts with various airlines around the world for only 34 machines. So it was convenient for Regional One that the aforementioned DHC-8-400 could now be accommodated at Camair-Co. The first pictures from Bratislava can already be found in full Camair co-paint.

With the early takeover of this machine, Camair-Co will again operate the Dash 8-400. Camair-Co was already using up to two Q2018s on the regional network between April 2020 and May 400. However, both machines were returned to the owner Abu Dhabi Aviation and replaced by the Xian MA-60.
