Air Astana is expanding its route network and will offer a new non-stop connection between Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Phu Quoc, Vietnam, from October 28, 2024.

The airline will operate an Airbus A321LR on this route. Flights will initially operate twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, departing Almaty at 22:45 p.m. and arriving in Phu Quoc the next morning at 8:15 a.m. Return flights are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, departing Phu Quoc at 9:45 a.m. and arriving in Almaty at 15:50 p.m. local time. From December 2024, the frequency is expected to increase to four flights per week.

Phu Quoc, known for its picturesque beaches and clear water, attracts numerous holidaymakers every year. German citizens can enter Vietnam visa-free for stays of up to 45 days. However, travelers from Austria and Switzerland require a visa, which can be applied for online as an e-visa.
