The European aircraft manufacturer Airbus is now treating the A321XLR project with priority. In view of the current crisis, it should not be paused, but set at full speed, the company said in a broadcast.
The A321XLR is a range-enhanced variant of the A321KR and should enable non-stop flights of up to 8.700 kilometers. Compared to the A330neo, the model is cheaper to buy, which is why there are great opportunities in long-haul point-to-point traffic. There are currently around 500 firm orders from 24 customers.
