Advertising

Because of the war against Ukraine, the Russian authorities have now extended the flight bans in the south of their own country for the eighth time.

A total of eleven airports will remain closed until April 19, as reported by the ORF. Airfields in the Black Sea resort of Anapa, in the megacities of Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar and in Belgorod near the Ukrainian border are affected by the airspace restrictions. The airports in Gelendzhik, Voronezh and in Simferopol on Crimea, the Ukrainian Black Sea peninsula annexed in 2014, will remain closed for the time being. The bans, which should have ended tomorrow, are said to apply until April 19, 2.45:24 a.m. (CEST). After the invasion of Ukraine on February XNUMX, Russia closed several southern Russian airports and repeatedly extended the flight bans.
