Altenrhein Airport plans three-month closure for modernization work

Altenrhein Airport will cease operations for three weeks in August 2025. The closure is due to lower demand for Mediterranean destinations in midsummer, as airport boss Thomas Krutzler explained to Aviation.Direct.

During the closure, extensive modernization work will be carried out at the airport. It is not yet clear whether flights to Vienna will be relocated to Friedrichshafen or Memmingen or suspended during the closure. The temporary closure is intended to improve the infrastructure and prepare the airport for future requirements.
