The Euro-Airport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg was recently evacuated again for a short time after safety concerns arose. The measure led to a temporary suspension of air traffic.

The all-clear was given around midday and operations resumed. The evacuation took place against the backdrop of the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, which led to increased security precautions. In addition, there were significant disruptions to train traffic in France after unknown perpetrators carried out arson attacks on facilities on the express train network. The background to the attacks is currently unclear.
