Belgium: Unions threaten pilot strike

Advertising

Three unions are threatening the Belgian air traffic control company Skeyes with a strike. If no agreement is reached by October 5, 2023, a call for work stoppages could follow, which could affect the entire airspace of Belgium.

The ACV Transcom union hopes in a press release that a solution can be found by then, but makes it clear that a solution must be found. Specifically, this is a mechanism that was introduced in 2019 and was repeated due to the corona pandemic. The agreement expired at the beginning of this year without a successor.
