Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) recorded an increase in passenger traffic in May 2025. According to preliminary figures from the traffic report, almost 2,32 million people traveled through the airport, representing an increase of approximately 90.000 passengers compared to the previous month of April. However, compared to May of the previous year, there was a decrease of approximately 51.000 passengers.

The busiest day in May was Sunday, May 4, 2025, with 86.760 passengers. The weekend of the DFB Cup final, from May 23 to 25, saw particularly high traffic, with around 237.000 passengers using BER. This underscores the airport's role in hosting major events in the region.

Last month, a total of 17.513 aircraft takeoffs and landings were recorded at BER. In April 2025, the number was 16.291. Furthermore, more than 4.336 tons of cargo were handled in May, indicating consistent activity in the freight transport sector.
