The US low-cost airline Breeze Airways has announced that it has ordered ten more Airbus A220-300s. This increased the order to 90 units and is now the third largest customer for this type of machine.

“Thanks to its world-class performance characteristics, the A220 is the perfect aircraft to help Breeze achieve its goal of providing non-stop service between underserved routes in the United States,” said Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, EVP Sales, Commercial Aircraft, Airbus. “The aircraft delivers efficient operations and an excellent passenger experience, while having the lowest carbon footprint of a small single-aisle aircraft in the world and creating less noise in the communities where it flies. This additional order from Breeze is a strong endorsement of the value and capabilities offered by this latest generation aircraft.”

Breeze received its first Airbus A220 in December 2021 and operates 20 aircraft (as of late January 2024) in the United States. Breeze also announced that it will deploy an all-A2024 fleet for its commercial operations by the end of 220.
