Bremen Airport has a new non-stop flight connection to Chișinău, the capital of the Republic of Moldova. Since April 17, 2025, the Moldovan airline Flyone has been offering twice-weekly flights from Bremen to the Eastern European metropolis, on Thursdays and Sundays. Starting at the end of June, the frequency will increase to three weekly flights, and Tuesday will also be added as a flight day. The first landing in Bremen was celebrated this morning with a traditional airplane shower.

Airport Managing Director Dr. Marc Cezanne emphasized the importance of the new connection for expanding services in Bremen and providing direct connections for many people to their hometowns. Bremen is Flyone's seventh German destination after Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt-Hahn, Stuttgart, Berlin, and Munich, and the airline's first destination in Northern Germany. The First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova also traveled from Berlin to the ceremonial launch of the route and, together with representatives of Bremen Airport, presented flowers to the crew. Oleg Popov emphasized the importance of the direct connection for the more than 17.000 people from the Republic of Moldova living in Bremen and Lower Saxony, and also invited tourists to discover the beauty and wine traditions of his country.

Flyone has already announced that it will also offer the service in winter due to strong demand. Flight tickets are available both online and at the ticket counter in Terminal 1 of Bremen Airport. Founded in 2016, the low-cost airline is the largest airline in the Republic of Moldova and carried two million passengers in 2023. It currently offers flights to 60 destinations. Bremen Airport, for its part, is an important economic and tourist factor for the region, with a catchment area of 13 million people and offering numerous connections to international hubs.
