Cathay Pacific launches direct flights between Munich and Hong Kong

The Asian airline Cathay Pacific, which has been classified as a 5-star airline for twelve consecutive years, launched direct flights between Munich and Hong Kong The renowned airline now connects the two important economic metropolises four times a week – Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays – with a modern Airbus A350-900. The new route significantly strengthens connectivity between Bavaria and Asia.

The international hub in Hong Kong offers passengers numerous additional connection options throughout Asia, as well as to Australia and New Zealand, via this new connection. In return, travelers from Asia can use Munich as a convenient hub for onward travel to Europe and North America. Jost Lammers, Chairman of the Management Board of Munich Airport GmbH, expressed his delight at the choice of Munich as the location: "We are proud that Cathay Pacific, one of the world's leading airlines, is flying to Munich." He emphasized the importance of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area as one of the most important economic regions in Asia with over 85 million inhabitants.
