Kinder Business Week 2025 kicks off with CEO Day: Insights into the economy for young talents

The Children's Business Week This year, the event once again offers a unique opportunity for young people between eight and 15 years of age to gain their first insights into the local economy. July 21-25, 2025 Children can participate in a total of 60 free workshops taking place at the WKO Campus Vienna. The goal is to convey the everyday working life of entrepreneurs in an age-appropriate manner and to stimulate interest in economic contexts.

A new feature this year is the so-called CEO Day The event kicks off on Monday, July 21. Twelve special workshops with leading figures from Austrian flagship companies are scheduled for this day. Renowned managers such as ÖBB CEO Andreas Matthä, Verbund CEO Michael Strugl, Microsoft Austria General Manager Hermann Erlach, as well as hotelier Sonja Wimmer and Wiesbauer Managing Director Thomas Schmiedbauer will be present. They will share their experiences in presentations and workshops and demonstrate what can be achieved with good ideas and courage, potentially fostering entrepreneurial spirit among the young participants.

The opening of the Children’s Business Week will be Young Republic , Austria's first kids' pop band. The ten- to 16-year-old artists are known for their family-friendly pop songs and have a considerable reach, especially on platforms like TikTok. The band is looking forward to using the Children's Business Week platform to directly address young visitors. In addition, the workshops will offer exciting insights into various industries, such as the production of plant-based meat alternatives (Plant Farm) or the function of insurance (Smile Insurance). Participation in the Children's Business Week is free and includes a snack and food. There are still places available; registration is via online registration. The event is organized by Media Guide Events GmbH, with the Vienna Chamber of Commerce as a cooperation partner.
