Cologne Bonn Airport has been preparing intensively for the UEFA EURO 2024, which will take place in Germany from 14 June to 14 July 2024.

The airport is expecting an increased number of travellers, including fans, teams and officials. Numerous UEFA animations and European Championship flags have been installed in the airport terminals to welcome guests in the European Championship design. In addition, there is a 1-metre-high replica of the European Championship trophy in Terminal 3,5, in front of which fans and travellers can have their photos taken.

Special "Welcome Desks" with volunteers offer support for those arriving. An electric bus branded with the European Championship design will transport football fans on the apron. The airport is expecting a total of around 160 additional passenger flights and around 30.000 additional passengers during the tournament. The games taking place in Cologne include four group matches and a round of XNUMX match, although flights to games in other NRW cities will also be full with lots of fans. The national teams from Hungary, Scotland and England, which are landing in Cologne, are expected to be the German team's group opponents and co-favorites for the tournament.
