As is already known, the Lufthansa Group, which includes Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines, is no longer flying to the Middle East. The reason given for this decision is the tensions in the region. It will stay that way for the time being.

The Lufthansa Group has not flown to the Middle East for some time. The reason given for this is security concerns and the expectation of war in the region. Initially, it was announced that no more flights would be made to the region until August 21. However, this cancellation has now been brought forward to August 26, until which time at least no more flights will be made to the Middle East. This applies to all flights of the Lufthansa Group, which includes Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings.
