On Thursday, Wizz Air carried out the first flight to Sarajevo at Dortmund Airport. The crew and passengers were greeted on the apron by press spokeswoman Davina Ungruhe and head of marketing Guido Miletic.

The low-cost airline offers the new route to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Ticket sales are open up to and including October 2022. In Dortmund, Wizz Air has the first and so far only base on German soil.

“Wizz Air is significantly expanding its offer from Dortmund to Bosnia and Herzegovina this year. Sarajevo was only the first of two new routes. On June 3, there will also be a flight to Banja Luka. The third route, Tuzla, has been a popular destination from Dortmund Airport for years, ”says Miletic.
