On an Indigo-operated flight from Ranchi to Delhi, a baby suffered a medical emergency. Two doctors who happened to be on board were able to save the toddler's life.

According to official information, the baby is said to be suffering from a congenital heart defect. During flight 6E5043, carried out with the Airbus A320neo with registration VT-IVJ, the young person is said to have had massive breathing problems. The two doctors were able to stabilize it with an oxygen mask and emergency medication.

The flight was aborted. The captain decided to land back in Delhi, where the baby was immediately handed over to the emergency services. Further care was then provided at a nearby hospital. Indigo expressed sincere thanks to the two doctors for fighting for the young passenger's life. The baby is now said to have largely recovered.
