Emirates airline is expanding its presence in Africa, introducing additional flights to Entebbe, Addis Ababa and Johannesburg. From October 27, 2024, the frequency of flights between Dubai and Uganda will be increased to daily, providing 718 additional seats per week.

This is part of Emirates' long-term commitment to Uganda, supported by a partnership with the Uganda Tourism Board, among others. The return to Lagos and the planned increase in frequency to Addis Ababa from January 2025 and to Johannesburg from March 2025 are also part of the strategy to promote connectivity in Africa. In total, Emirates will offer 161 weekly flights between Africa and Dubai after the implementation of these measures.

Additional growth in the region is enabled by an extensive partner network that includes access to over 210 regional destinations. Emirates thus offers a connection to 20 passenger and cargo destinations in Africa.
