Emirates plans extensive recruitment of pilots and cabin crew

Advertising

Dubai-based airline Emirates announced a significant expansion of its workforce. It plans to hire more than 550 new pilots this year to further strengthen its existing team of approximately 4.600 pilots. Emirates plans to recruit a total of 1.500 new pilots over the next two years. At the same time, the airline is also stepping up its recruitment efforts for cabin crew and recently held an "Open Day" in Vienna to familiarize interested parties with the career opportunities.

Emirates' recruitment drive underscores the airline's continued growth and expansion of its global operations. Since the beginning of 2022, Emirates has already hired nearly 2.000 new pilots and continues these efforts through global recruitment events. A particular focus is on the internal "Accelerated Command" program, which specifically prepares first officers for the role of captain. This program has proven extremely popular, as evidenced by the participation of over 80 pilots since its launch a year ago.

Emirates held an open day in Vienna on May 8 for prospective cabin crew members. There, applicants could learn about the requirements and application process and introduce themselves. Emirates values a multinational workforce and offers its employees attractive working conditions in Dubai, including accommodation, transport allowances, and a tax-free salary. Employees also benefit from comprehensive insurance benefits and discounted airfares for themselves and their dependents. The airline operates a modern fleet of wide-body aircraft, consisting of Airbus A380s, Boeing 777s, and, more recently, the Airbus A350.
