The airline Eurowings and Cologne/Bonn Airport are continuing their close cooperation and are significantly expanding their flight offerings from the 2025 summer flight schedule. From the end of March, another aircraft will be stationed at the airport, meaning Eurowings will operate a total of 17 aircraft there. In addition, five new destinations will be added to the route network, including Porto, Bastia and Erbil.
According to airport boss Thilo Schmid, the expansion strengthens Eurowings' market leadership at the location. The airline will serve 69 destinations in 23 countries, with Mallorca remaining the most popular destination - with up to 46 weekly connections in the peak season. In addition to the expansion of the summer flight schedule, Eurowings also announced an increase in the frequency of flights to Dubai for the winter of 2025. From November, the city will be served four times a week from Cologne/Bonn.
The airline had already introduced two new connections to the Gulf region in 2024: Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Dubai. Due to high demand, Jeddah will remain in the winter flight schedule with three weekly flights. Eurowings' increased presence at Cologne/Bonn Airport underlines the importance of the location for the airline, which is also committed to long-term growth.
