With an expanded offering from the end of March to the end of October 2025, Eurowings offers 412 routes to a total of around 142 destinations in 36 countries. The expansion of the flight schedule is a response to the increasing demand for international travel and aims to offer passengers a greater choice and more flexible flight options. Whether sunny beaches in Greece, city trips to Seville or a visit to the vibrant metropolis of Dubai - the variety of new connections reflects the Germans' unbroken desire to travel.
In 2025, Eurowings will be presenting a number of new routes that will bring travelers closer to destinations that were previously less accessible. From Berlin, the airline will also fly to the Spanish city of Bilbao, the Greek island of Corfu, the Portuguese coastal town of Faro, as well as the British city of Newcastle and the Andalusian city of Jerez de la Frontera. The additional connection to Dubai is particularly relevant for Berlin: the Lufthansa subsidiary now also offers direct flights during the Easter and autumn holidays, which increases the attractiveness of the metropolis for travelers. Overall, the number of direct destinations from Berlin will be increased to 42.
Düsseldorf, another important hub location, is benefiting from a significant expansion of its summer flight schedule. New to the repertoire are Ljubljana, Mostar, Preveza in Greece as well as Seville and Warsaw. In addition, the connection to Cairo, Marsa Alam and the northern city of Rovaniemi in Finland will continue to be offered, while popular holiday destinations such as Nice, Barcelona and Sylt will now be served more frequently.
Strengthening connections in Germany and Europe
Eurowings is relying on high frequencies for its most popular holiday destinations. Connections to Palma de Mallorca, a classic European travel destination, are offered 14 times a week from Dortmund alone. This increase in flight frequencies is not only a sign of high demand, but also a confirmation of Mallorca's position as a key destination for German holidaymakers.
The airline is also significantly expanding its offering for customers from Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg and Stuttgart. New connections to Erbil in Iraq, Klagenfurt in Austria and the French island of Corsica (Bastia) are being added from Cologne/Bonn. The connection to Dubai will also be extended to include the Easter and autumn holidays. Hamburg is increasing the frequencies for destinations such as Stockholm and Barcelona, while Stuttgart is adding new connections to Malta and Mostar, among others, to its program.
The airline aims to establish a strong presence in the main European and international travel hubs by appealing to passengers' flexibility with more frequent flights and a wide range of destinations. From Stuttgart, for example, in addition to an increased number of flights to popular Mediterranean destinations, there will also be new direct connections to Malta, which is particularly attractive for travellers interested in Mediterranean short breaks.
The strategy behind the expansion
The expansion of the summer flight schedule is part of a comprehensive strategy by Eurowings, which is committed to creating a wide range of travel destinations and improving accessibility to the most popular holiday destinations. The airline is thus demonstrating its ability to adapt to the rapidly changing needs of customers. Especially at a time when travel is once again becoming more important, it is crucial for Eurowings to score points with a strong and diverse flight network.
The increasing number of passengers and the growing interest in long-distance travel and city trips demonstrate the trend that many German travelers are looking for the opportunity to discover new places in the summer of 2025, be it for a relaxing weekend or an extended summer vacation trip. The new additions to the flight schedule are therefore intended to make access to exciting travel destinations easier and offer passengers a greater choice.
