A Eurowings Airbus A321 en route from Hamburg to Fuerteventura had to make an unscheduled landing in Lisbon last Saturday. The reason for this was smoke in the cabin, which was reported by the pilots. The aircraft, with the registration D-AIDP, then landed safely in Lisbon.

According to information from the Aviation Herald, the pilots reported smoke in the cabin and immediately initiated an emergency landing. Just 17 minutes later, the plane touched down in Lisbon. The D-AIDP initially remained at the airport in the Portuguese capital.

The cause of the smoke in the cabin is currently unclear. Eurowings has launched an investigation into the incident.
