As part of the farewell tour, the German Air Force flew over Nuremberg Airport on Wednesday with a Transall C-160. At the end of the year, Transall clears the field for the Airbus A400M and the new Lockheed C130-J Hercules.

The Bundeswehr gave the 50 + 40 a final special paint job. The machine visits various airports in Germany as part of its farewell tour. A symbolic farewell to the era of the transport aircraft by the squadron.
