Oneworld member Finnair will offer additional flights to Japan, Norway and the USA in the 2024/25 winter timetable and summer 2025.
In Japan, Finnair will increase frequencies to Tokyo-Narita and thus offer daily flights to both Tokyo-Haneda and Tokyo-Narita in summer 2025. Additionally, Nagoya will receive a third weekly frequency. From the 2025 summer season, Finnair will also offer a new destination in Northern Norway, the city of Kirkenes. Finnair will fly to Kirkenes three times a week with a 68-seat ATR aircraft from Helsinki via Ivalo. The new route serves Finnish and international travelers who want to explore both Finnish Lapland and Northern Norway and, for example, experience the famous Hurtigruten cruise that operates to and from Kirkenes.
“We are pleased to introduce a destination that further strengthens our already extensive network in the Arctic region. The new route enables a smooth connection for customers travelling to Northern Norway, as they can reach the destination quickly and easily from Helsinki,” says Ole Orvér, Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair.
In the Baltics, Finnair will offer additional flights to Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius in summer 2025. Tallinn and Riga will receive five additional weekly frequencies and Vilnius two. Finnair has also updated its transport program for winter 2024 and added additional frequencies to Dallas, meaning the route now has daily service all year round. Finnair flights to Dallas offer a smooth connection to American Airlines' extensive route network from its hub in Dallas.
