German electric startup Flyv has announced that it will build its first base at Norrköping Airport in Sweden. At least one Tecnam P2012 is scheduled to be stationed at this airport from the end of 2024.

The Stuttgart-based company wants to offer regional flight services with 9-seaters that are electrically powered. These are to be marketed on an ad hoc charter basis, with sophisticated software being used to create a line-like concept depending on demand.

Managing director Anton Lutz explained the future base in Sweden, among other things: “When introducing Flyv, it is crucial to have supportive airport partners who can help us position and market our services and support us in attracting investors. We have been speaking to the airport since the summer and they fully support our philosophy."

It is currently planned to initially launch with four Tecnam P2012 Travelers. The aim is to expand the fleet to 50 machines over the course of a decade. They recently ordered 25 Alice machines.
