Fourth Graz Airport Run raises significant donation for Sterntalerhof children's hospice

After the successful completion of the fourth Graz Airport Runs could the Sterntalerhof, a hospice for children and families, a donation of EUR 20.000 The donation will support the facility's important work in the field of palliative care for children and their families. The event at Graz Airport has become a permanent fixture in the annual calendar and continues to enjoy unwavering popularity among runners.

Wolfgang Grimus and Jürgen Löschnig, the managing directors of Graz Airport, expressed their delight at the success of the event: "The Graz Airport Run is always one of the highlights of the year for us, as the enthusiasm of the runners is consistently high. We consider it a special privilege that we can also support such an important charitable institution as the Sterntalerhof with the run." Around 800 participants took part in the run, which was held on a 5,8-kilometer course in close proximity to the airport's runways and taxiways.

Sterntalerhof is a children's and family hospice that, under the motto "New strength, new courage, and new hope , " supports families with children suffering from life-limiting illnesses on their difficult journey. The hospice's entire work is financed exclusively through donations. Harald Jankovits, Managing Director of Sterntalerhof, emphasized the enormous importance of such initiatives: "Every euro raised through this run is crucial, as we finance all our work for seriously ill children and their families solely through donations." He added that the media attention generated by the run is invaluable for raising awareness of the hospice's mission and mobilizing further support.

The Graz Airport Run , in its four editions, has always pursued a charitable purpose and in previous years has supported other organizations such as the Styrian Children's Cancer Aid. The continuity of this event underscores Graz Airport's commitment to social causes and its role as a host of events that combine community and welfare.
