The Brazilian airports of Fortaleza and Porto Alegre achieved a remarkable increase of 132,3 percent, with 1,1 million passengers, reflecting the recovery following the damage-related closure of Porto Alegre Airport the previous year. Lima Airport in Peru recorded growth of 6,3 percent to 2,2 million passengers.
Greek regional airports also showed stable development, with an increase of 1,0 percent to 3,7 million passengers. Burgas and Varna airports in Bulgaria grew by 24,1 percent to 222.806 passengers. Only Antalya Airport in Turkey remained at the previous year's level with 3,9 million passengers. Overall, the Fraport Group remains on a steady path of recovery and growth following the global pandemic, thus consolidating its position as a globally active airport operator.
