The German national football team has left its team headquarters, the "Home Ground" in Herzogenaurach, and headed to its home airport. From there, the team will fly to Düsseldorf before continuing on to Mönchengladbach. On June 7, 2024, the national team will play a friendly match against Greece there as part of the preparation for the upcoming European Championship.

The German Football Association (DFB) uses Nuremberg Airport to travel to distant games. The team headquarters are located on the adidas World of Sports site in Herzogenaurach, just 20 kilometers from Nuremberg Airport. These logistics make it much easier for the players and the support staff to travel to and from the venue.

The encounter against Greece should serve as an important endurance test for national coach Hansi Flick's team before the tournament. After arriving in Mönchengladbach, the team will make final preparations in order to be well prepared for the friendly match.
