Apparently, home office is back in fashion. Because the currently increased number of infections is demonstrably reducing the demand for business travel.

"Many travel managers are now taking the path of least resistance and completely foregoing business trips in Germany," said Inge Pirner, Vice President of the Association of German Travel Management (VDR). The confusing situation regarding the travel rules within Germany would have played its part. In addition, many companies have imposed a temporary travel stop due to the controversial ban on accommodation, which has already been overturned in several federal states, such as the news magazine Travel before 9 reported. The travel manager therefore calls on politicians to "provide clear and uniform nationwide rules for business trips".
