Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hahn Airport has taken extensive measures to ensure smooth operations during the winter months.

With a fleet of 35 special vehicles, including sweepers, snow blowers and aircraft de-icers, the airport is well equipped for frost and snow. In addition, the airport has storage capacity for 415.000 liters of de-icing agent and 110 tons of road salt and granulate to keep runways, aprons and access roads safe.

The winter service includes a core team of 15 people, which is supported by temporary workers. The airport is also still looking for employees to cover winter operations. Applications can be submitted directly via the airport website. Despite winter challenges, passengers and airlines should be able to count on a reliable service.

In recent months, the airport operator Triwo has also made investments in other areas such as e-mobility and new infrastructure projects in order to make the site future-proof.
