Hamburg Airport reports a successful start to this year's holiday season, with northern Germans' eagerness to travel making intensive use of the wide range of flights available. An analysis of the previous year, 2024, showed that holidaymakers flew from Hamburg to a total of 580 different destinations. Mallorca, Antalya, and Munich were the top three destinations, according to a recent passenger survey. The 3 summer flight schedule will further expand the offering by adding new airlines and creating additional direct flights and improved connections to international hubs.

In the country ranking for 2024, Spain led the list of most popular holiday destinations by a clear margin, followed by Turkey and Great Britain. Germany, Italy, and Greece were also among the top six countries. In addition to traditional holiday destinations, long-haul destinations such as the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, and Canada were also accessible directly from Hamburg or with only one transfer. Among the individual destinations, Mallorca maintained its position as the leader, followed by Antalya and Munich. The top 6 included sunny destinations such as Hurghada and Crete as well as cities such as London, Vienna, and Zurich.

The 2025 summer flight schedule offers passengers from Hamburg Airport an even wider selection of destinations. New flights with Croatia Airlines to Zagreb, for example, as well as additional connections to Milan, Rome, Sibiu, and Kutaisi, remain in high demand with a high number of weekly flights. Flights to Greece and Albania will also be increased. Thanks to the excellent connections to international hubs, travelers from Hamburg can reach over 1.000 destinations worldwide with just one transfer.
