Hamburg: Schnieder Reisen is insolvent

Advertising

A few days ago, the company Schnieder Reisen, which specializes in Eastern European travel, had to file for bankruptcy. The tour operator is based in Hamburg and has appointed the lawyer Hendrik Gittermann as the provisional administrator.

It is currently planned that business operations will continue. According to the company's own statements, the cause of the bankruptcy is also due to the war in Ukraine, because the demand for trips to the Baltics, Ukraine and Russia would have collapsed extremely sharply.

“As things stand today, all customers will be able to go on the trips they have already booked and will not have to fear any financial loss,” explains the insolvency administrator. The German Travel Insurance Fund, through which the package holidays are insured, has already coordinated with the insolvency administrator. If necessary, canceled travel services will be reimbursed.
