Hamburg Airport is introducing a new "Bag & Go" service, a digital baggage claim forecast for arriving passengers. Travelers can scan a QR code to access a web app that provides information about the baggage carousel, expected waiting times, oversized baggage counters, and lost baggage drop-off locations. This new service is currently in a test phase and is part of Hamburg Airport's comprehensive modernization program.

The goal of introducing "Bag & Go" is to make the airport experience more efficient and convenient for arriving passengers. The web app is designed to enable passengers to quickly and easily check the status and delivery of their baggage after landing, without relying on traditional display boards. This should shorten waiting times and reduce stress.

The new service will initially be tested and gradually expanded and developed based on user feedback. Future developments include push notifications for changes to the baggage carousel or waiting times. With this innovation, Hamburg Airport is responding to the need of many travelers for better and faster information in the arrivals area.

The introduction of "Bag & Go" is a further step in Hamburg Airport's efforts to continuously improve service quality and position the airport as a modern, customer-focused transport hub. Similar digital baggage information services are already being implemented at several other international airports and have received positive feedback.
