Helsinki Airport will extensively renovate the so-called runway 15 and the associated taxiways between April 12 and June 2024, 3.

“The runway structures must be first class due to the enormous stress the runway is subjected to. Regular renovations and inspections ensure safe and timely air traffic,” says Jani Elasmaa, Vice President of Finavia and responsible for the operation of the apron and runway at Helsinki Airport.

The renovation of Runway 3 at Helsinki Airport will begin on April 14 and end on June 12, 2024. The renovation includes surface repairs to the taxiways leading to the runway, as well as other renovations that will be carried out during the runway closure, particularly to the lighting systems.
